This week is the last week of wet clay I am gonig to do a few small projects and finish up some old stuff. I will mostly focus on my theme and putting together my presntation.

This week there are only three days of school because of Christmas break so most of this week will be warping up some projects so they are not sitting out over the break. I will get my wheel and hand project mostly finished and

This week I am going to make Christmas gifts for family member I have a lot of them so I'll be busy. I am going to incorporate the projects I have due in class and also make it personal to the person I am giving it to.

On Thursday I started making the tea pot. I finished the base and the lid, but I still need to make the handle and the spout. I have yet to make and lidded project that the lid fits the project. This time I am going to make more then one lid to make sure I have one that will fit. I am also working on a vase. It is the tallest project I have made, I will foot it on Monday and then it will be ready to go in the bisk.

I have done all of my projects up until novmeber break so this week I wanted to try something new and made salt and pepper shakers. I made them on the wheel and just choked small cylinders until they closed on the top. I also made a cup. I used letter stamps and with black stain wrote bones around the rim of the cup. Then I have different shaped hexagons around the middle of the cup. The bones cup is for my sister because he love

My Set of three, lidded and wheel altered both came out of the glaze kiln along whith 3 of my choice projectes. This is a picture of  the bowl and plate that are part of my set of 3 before I glazed them. I ened up glazing most of my project twice. I got a little glaze happy and put it on to thick. I got them in and done and am fairly happy with the way they turned out.

I am finishing up my set of 3. So far I  made a pitcher, a gravy dish, and a dinner plate. But when I look at the all together I realized that the pitcher and the gravy dish look odd together. the Pitcher needs to be taller to go with the gravy dish. So I made a serving bowl instead to go with the gravy dish and plate. I also made another bowl, it is the biggest one I have made yet. The planter I made last week is dry enough to but in the bisk, and my mug, pencil holder and bowls should be out of the glaze kiln this week.

This week I am going to work on my set of three. I am going to make a picture and two cups. I made my picture today. It was a vase that I collapsed  the top so the edges me and shaped into and abstract picture. My plan is to make the two cups have a similar collapsed feel to it.
This week I have also been helping other people that don't have a lot of practice on the wheal get on it again. I also want to try to make bigger and better projects. My dad has requested that a make a pot for one of his plants that has to be about 12in x 6in. Witch would be the lager project I will have made I want to make it but I think I will have to work up to that a little bit more before I can make something that big.

This I made three bowls that I am going to donate. This week was also my first week back on the wheel form a long summer so I was a little rusty. The bowls were not my best work. Centering was pretty easy for me, however it was hard for me to keep it centered while I was opening it to make to bowl. I will focus on that next week when I make my tall project.
