This week is the last week of wet clay! I am finishing up projects and tiring to get as much projects done as possible. I am proud of what I have accomplished this year. I have got a good number of projects completed and how I have improved over this semester. This is my favorite classes and I am sad I will not be able to take it next year :(. 

We only have a few more weeks of wet clay! I am hoping to get as many projects done before the semester ends. I will stay after a few days to get more stuff done. I have all my assigned projects done so these are just because I want to have more stuff!:) 

This week I was making a losses project. I made it out of porcilen and was going to make a teapot. I made the pot, lid, and spout but then I decided to just make a lidded pot. The lid and the pot both ended getting chipped so I made it in to a honey pot with a place to put a spoon.

This week I have been making mostly cups. I really enjoy using the porcelain because it is so soft and how white and clean they look when they are finished, witch fits perfectly in what my theme is for this semester! I am going to put glass on one of the porcelain cups I made because I really like the affect it creates, with the other cup I am going to stain something on to it..  

Last week I made three bowls and a cup out of red clay. They came out to day! I love the way they look. In the glaze the red clay turns a dark brown. 
Yesterday I made two cups out of porcelain I really liked using and I am excited to see how they turn out.

I have been thinking a lot about theme and what my theme could be. I noticed that all my projects are very simple. I do not add a lot of decorative prices or stain patterns on. I like that my projects are more about the shape of the object and not additional prices. The projects that I do add things I try to keep it to a minim and have it complement the shape of the project. My theme is simplicity.

I am making a cup for my couch, I am putting her team quote on it and the dances she did this year. Because I am putting so many words on it I am just going to glaze it clear so it looks cleaner.
I am also hopping to work with red clay today!

Last week I was out of town so I did not make anything. However yesterday I glazed both my the pitures I had made the previous week.

This week I made two pictures. I think I'm going to make them a part of my set of three.

This semester I want to have a theme in mind as I make my projects. I am still tiring to decide what it will be hope fully I will have it by Friday.
This week my tea pot, tall project, and plate should be coming out of the bisk. I will also be making my set of three.
